ACERS After School Multi Sport Club

ACERS is a multi sport club aimed at young people, aged between 5 and 18 years old with a physical, learning or sensory impairment.  The sessions provide young people young people the opportunity to try new sports and games in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

Details of the session are as follows –

Where: Edinburgh College (Granton Campus), 350 West Granton Road, EH5 1QE

When:  Monday afternoons, 3.45pm – 5.15pm (during term time)

Who: Young people aged between 5 and 18 years old

Paralympic Experience Event - A Big Success

The fourth Edinburgh Paralympic Experience Event took place at Forrester / St Augustine’s High School in Edinburgh on Friday 13 March 2015 and it proved to be the largest to date, with 61 young people with a physical or sensory disability registering to participate.  The event is delivered through a unique partnership approach between Edinburgh Active Schools, Scottish Disability Sport and Lothian Disability Sport and this year, Edinburgh Leisure provided valuable support to the swimming element of the event.

Get Involved with Disability Football in Midlothian

Get Involved with Disability Football in Midlothian

Dalkeith Miners CYP have established a strand to the club for young people with a disability aged between 5 and 12 years. This session aims to give players a fun, structured environment to include all ability levels and enhance self confidence.

The session has recently seen a reduction in numbers and Head Coach, Steven Williams is keen to try and attract more players from Midlothian and surrounding areas.  Details of the next session can be found below:

Venue:  Soccer City, Mayfield Industrial Estate, EH22 4AD

Date:  Saturday 24th January 2015 (1pm - 2pm)

Young People: The session is open to young people aged between 5 and 12 years.
