The 23rd National Dwarf Games were held over the May Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May at venues across the West Midlands. Three Lothian athletes took part in the games and each had an extremely successful weekend.
8 year old Merryn Binnie came home with a sensational 13 medals in total - 8 golds, 2 silver & 4 bronze, including a special bronze award for having the fastest time closest to the time Ellie Simmonds posted at the same age. Merryn is pictured with Ellie above.
Ross Foley from Eskbank competed in the Senior section and picked up a fantastic gold medal alongside 2 bronze medals. Ross' Lothian Disability Badminton Club teammate Andrew Davies also competed in the event and was very successful. A full rundown of his achievements will be posted soon.
