Lothian Disability Sport works in partnership with over 30 clubs across 15 sports in the Lothian Region and offer both, disability specific and inclusive opportunities - with some of the most experienced coaches in disability sport actively coaching in this region. From Archery to Swimming or Basketball to Badminton, Lothian Disability Sport works in partnership and aims to support these coaches as they continually develop the skills of athletes to reach their potential.
Coaches have played a crucial role in athletes reaching their sporting potential, watching them graduate from local or grassroots clubs to further their skills at a Regional, National and International Stage - becoming successful, medal winning athletes. Additionally, many coaches in disability sport also provide support to enhance social opportunities as well as sporting ones, allowing individuals access to participation and recreational sport.
If any of these roles interest you, whether an experienced coach or a coach who is just entering the world of sport - Lothian Disability Sport would love to hear from you to discuss these exciting opportunities further. Additionally, coaching opportunities are not only restricted to sports currently advertised, we are always interested in introducing new sports and activities to our programme, providing a wider catchment of potential athletes.
